Hi, Everyone!

I just wanted to let you know that I had a wonderful experience performing my "Chaplin" one-man show last night in a jewel of a venue in Parkersburg, West Virginia called the "Smoot Theatre". It is a gorgeously rennovated 750-seat Vaudeville house built in 1926 and it was the perfect environment in which to perform the show!!

“Chaplin” on Tour!

David’s one-man concert version of his beloved Stage Musical based on the life of screen legend, Charlie Chaplin, "Chaplin - A Life In Concert" (in which he stars and which premiered to raves at the Kravis Center For The Performing Arts in West Palm Beach, Florida and Smithtown Center For The Performing Arts on Long Island this past July 2009) is scheduled to begin an American tour.

Holocaust Documentary

David wrote (with Spencer and Judy Proffer) the emotional title song for the 2008 Sundance-produced Feature Documentary, “As Seen Through These Eyes”, narrated by Maya Angelou and performed by Sony/BMG artist, Anna Nalik (“Breathe”). The film has won several international awards and is schedules to open in New York City in October 2009.

David's classic song, "Tryin' To Get The Feeling Again" was prominently featured in the Series Premiere episode of, ABC's "Boston Legal" on September 22, 2008. "Tryin' To Get The Feeling Again", a Number One hit recorded by Barry Manilow, is one of the most performed ASCAP songs of all time and has sold in excess of 25 million records.

David Receives Key To The City Of Manila

David's CD of love songs on EMI Records, "Born For You - His Best And More", has exceeded the 500,000 mark in sales throughout Southeast Asia - and it has become the highest-grossing Pop album in the history of The Philippines!

"Operation Smile"

On February 27th, 28th and March 1st, 2009, David Pomeranz performed three highly-successful fundraising concerts to benefit "Operation Smile" in the Philippines.

These concerts, in Manila, Cebu and Davao were timed in conjunction with the annual "mission" of Surgeons, Nurses, Assistants and Volunteeres who came from all over the world to perform free surgeries on the poorest children suffering facial deformities brought about from Cleft Palate and Cleft Lip. David attends Tribute to Joseph Stein

November 18, 2008 - David attended a Dramatists Guild Tribute honoring playwright, Joseph Stein (“Fiddler On The Roof”, "Zorba”, “Enter Laughing”) for a Lifetime Achievement in the Theater.

Pictured here with David are (from left to right), Elisa Stein, Joseph Stein and Lin-Manuel Miranda, star and composer of the Tony-winning Broadway Musical, “In The Heights”.

David is presently working with Mr. Stein, Barry Harman and Jenny Lyn Bader on a new Musical Comedy en route to Broadway.

Write Song Score For An Animated Classic!

His first venture into the world of Feature Animation, is a Musical version of the classic tale, “The Princess And The Pea” (for which David wrote the lyrics to seven new songs with Composer, Alan Wiliams), had its Television debut on the Starz Network in January, 2009.

Lights Up The London Stage”

In collaboration with ASCAP writer, Steven David Horwich and “Time” author, David Soames, David composed the music for a breathtaking new musical version of Charles Dickens’ “A Tale Of Two Cities” which, after having two successful runs in Birmingham and Windsor, England, just had its official London Premiere at The Gatehouse Theatre to rapturous reviews in September of 2008. Plans are in the works for a Westend openning for 2010.

the De La Hoya/Pacquiao fight on HBO!

David’s beautiful love song, “Born For You” (co-written with Tony-winner, David Zippel) will be featured throughout a month-long promotional campaign leading to the highly-touted Oscar De La Hoya / Manny Pacquiao Pay-Per-View welterweight battle on December 6, 2008 on HBO. Manny Pacquiao himself, sings the song on air – one of his favorites.

In 2008, David’s long-awaited classic albums were both given the digital re-mastering treatment and released for the first time on CD in Japan. The highly-acclaimed 1975 recording of “It’s In Every One Of Us” (BMG) - containing David’s original rendition of his hit song, “Tryin’ To Get The Feeling Again” - and his 1980 Atlantic album, “The Truth Of Us” (Vivid Sound) – co-produced with renowned Simon And Garfunkel Producer, Roy Halee, are now both available at Amazon.com.

Missy Elliott samples David’s music on MTV!

In July of 2008, Missy Elliott performed her Top 10 hit, “One Minute Man” on an episode of “RANDY JACKSON PRESENTS AMERICA’S BEST DANCE CREW” on MTV. The song is based on a sample from David’s own Arista recording of his song, “Greyhound Mary”.

Clay Aiken Records Pomeranz Classic

In 2008, Clay Aiken released a beautiful version of David’s classic song, “It’s In Every One Of Us” as a bonus track to launch his new album, “On My Way Here” on J Records. “It’s In Every One Of Us” has been translated into numerous languages and its heartfelt message of hope is sung all over the world.
